GOP presidential debate 2012: Pawlenty, Paul, Johnson, Santorum, Cain
As I watched the “debate”, my main thought was that unless someone steps forth with more charisma than I was seeing, we will be in a lot of trouble in 2012.
While my personal preference remains with Santorum based on his strong moral stance, I don’t think he has much of a chance unless he catches on fire with the Bible belt.
Cain was the best spoken and gave the appearance of an intellect that would make a great president, but I think his stand on legalizing all drugs is a death verdict to any presidential hope (including from me; legalizing all drugs is a terrible idea).
Paul came across as the right-wing twin of Jimmy Carter.
Pawlenty lost my vote (if he ever had it) based on his once supporting the cap and trade bill. Even though he now admits he was wrong, how could anyone support someone who was that wrong?
Johnson was there but everything about him was and is irrelevant when it comes to a presidential election.
All in all, this was not a very prestigious start of the 2012 anti-Obama campaign.

My apologies to Mr. Cain. It was not Herman Cain, but Ron Paul who said he would legalize even heroin. That puts Herman Cain high on my list of possible candidates.
